TERMS + CONDITIONS

Before commencing any job with Halo Entertainment, please take the time to read through and understand our terms and conditions.

Bookings
A booking can be made by verbal communication, via email or a direct message through Facebook. Once a request to make a booking is made, Halo Entertainment will send out a detailed invoice and appropriate paper work to confirm your booking.

Payment
A booking fee, otherwise termed a “deposit” is required for all services hired for Halo Entertainment. To secure your booking it must be paid within two weeks of the invoice being sent, as clearly stated on the invoice. All invoices will be sent to the client as a PDF file. Invoices can be paid by Direct Deposit (preferred) or cash upon where approved and a receipt will be offered. Account details are located at the bottom of your invoice. Final payment of the balance is due two weeks prior to the event. Should payment not be received at this time, a reminder may be sent. Should the payment not be received within forty-eight hours of the reminder notice, Halo Entertainment reserves the right to cancel the booking. This does not apply to any pre-arranged payment terms.

Additional Hours
Additional hours can be requested on the night of the function, however they will be charged at Halo Entertainments overtime rate. Permission must be granted by your venue, functions manager and DJ.

Cancellations and Refunds
Should you wish to cancel your booking the following conditions apply. For any cancellation made, your deposit payment of 20% is non-refundable, unless the same date can be re-booked by another client. All deposit payments are non-refundable with the exception of an illness and a certified medical certificate. All cancellations must be made in writing.

Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important. Any information given to Halo Entertainment will be used solely for our own marketing and promotional purposes and will not be sold to any third parties. Please note that Halo Entertainment may take photographs for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to consent to photos being used from your event, please advise prior to your event.

Equipment
Halo Entertainment will provide and select the equipment and lighting deemed appropriate for your function, dependant on the number of guests and size of the venue. It is solely the customers responsibility to ensure that the area where Halo Entertainment set up is at the satisfaction of the DJ. All equipment and cables must be covered from direct sunlight and rain.

Failure of Equipment
In the unlikely event that our equipment fails, the company cannot be held accountable for equipment failure that occurs beyond our control. Power outages which may result in delays to reboot equipment, damages to equipment, faults or the breakdown of equipment due to electrical or system failures cannot be helped. No refunds will be given for system failures beyond our control.

Meal Allowance
For all events over the period of a meal time, a meal must be provided. This is typically confirmed by both the venue and client prior to the event.

Damages and Theft
The customer will take full responsibility for any damages made to equipment or any property or personal belongings owned by Halo Entertainment.

Injuries and Misbehaviour
Halo Entertainment will not be liable for any injuries that occur as a result of actions from the client or their guests, including intoxication of any form. If any physical or verbal actions occur during the event, Halo Entertainment will cease playing until the matter has been rectified. There is zero tolerance for misbehaviour and the client takes full responsibility of the behaviour of themselves and their guests.

Setup Time
Clients must advise the functions or venue manager that Halo Entertainment will need access to begin setup at least 2 hours prior to the event commencing. With approximately 60 minutes pack down time allowed at the conclusion of the event. This is however subject to change, depending on venue circumstances; for example stairs, location, parking and walking distances.

 

These terms and conditions are classified as a binding agreement when you hire Halo Entertainment for any function or event. It is assumed that you have read and agreed to these terms and conditions prior to paying your deposit.
